Ferris State University is pleased to offer the Woodbridge N. Ferris Scholarship opportunities for students entering college for the first time. These scholarships are automatically awarded to international students who are academically eligible. Scholarship amounts are determined by evaluating both a student’s high school transcript and a submitted score (TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, or SAT). Students can earn over $12,000 in academic scholarships per year.
The West Michigan English Language Institute (WMELI) provides English language instruction to students that have not meet the TOEFL or IELTS score requirement. In this CEA accredited program, students develop essential English language skills to successfully pursue their academic and career goals.
Conditional admission to academic programs is offered through the English Language Institute. Once a student completes the language institute or achieves language proficiency, they can immediately transfer into their full academic program on the same visa.
