Lawrence University continues to be named one of the U.S.A.’s best colleges for students seeking a superb education with great career preparation at an affordable price by The Princeton Review. Even better, The Princeton Review recognizes Lawrence as one of its top 10 Impact Schools, a category driven by student ratings of their experiences on campus, such as student engagement, service, government, sustainability, and by the percentage of alumni that report that their jobs have “great meaning” to them. In addition to this distinction, The Princeton Review recognizes Lawrence as a College That Pays You Back. This list features schools that provide “a great education at a great price with great career prospects” in relation to academics, cost, financial aid, graduation rates, alumni salaries, and job satisfaction.
Lawrence is a residential university by design. We believe that the best environment for a liberal arts education is a small residential community with abundant opportunities for personal interaction outside of the classroom. Most of our students live in student housing on our beautiful river-front campus. We encourage you to visit our campus tour.
Lawrence’s picturesque campus is nestled on the banks of the Fox River. The greater Appleton area is big enough to find plenty of options that you will find in much larger cities but small enough to be safe and engaging without being overwhelming.
Additionally, you can fly here! Lawrence is located 315 km north of Chicago, Illinois. Fly to our airport from international hubs: Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis and Atlanta. Appleton’s international airport, serving Delta, United, Allegiant, and American Airlines, is just 10 km from campus.
