Welcome to Lewis-Clark State College! We know you will find Lewis-Clark State to be a place where our commitment to connecting learning to life is truly lived each and every day. From small class sizes, to faculty and staff dedicated to helping prepare students to become successful leaders, responsible citizens and lifelong learners, LCSC is a place where students can explore options and opportunities that range from bachelor’s degrees focused on liberal arts and sciences, to professional studies, to career-technical and community education. We’re here to engage students, challenge students and support students as they embark on one of the most interesting, enlightening, transformative and fun journeys of their lives.
Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) is located at Lewiston, Idaho, where two rivers (Clearwater and Snake), two cities (Lewiston and Clarkston), and two states (Idaho and Washington) come together. Lewiston has the benefit of being only a one-hour plane flight from Seattle, Washington. Located in a river valley, students will experience the turning of the seasons, autumn’s bright colors, mild winter snows on nearby mountains, beautiful spring flowers and summer’s warm sun.
The campus is located on Normal Hill, a charming residential area that was established in the 1800s. The local community includes Clarkston Washington which brings the population to about 55,000. In the Lewis Clark Valley students experience the friendliness and safety of small-town America. The valley also serves as the gateway to Hells Canyon, North America’s deepest river gorge and is surrounded by national parks that showcase some of the west’s most stunning scenery and out-door adventures.
LCSC offers a comprehensive and intensive English-language program through the Institute for Intensive English (IIE). The IIE offers a variety of electives each semester for students in both intermediate and advanced levels of English. Additionally, IIE has a Bridge Pathway Program. The Bridge Program allows students to take one college course without taking the IELTS/ TOEFL. Students who test into Bridge will experience 18 hours of English language courses each week, in addition to a 3-credit college course. After completing Bridge, students are prepared for success in the American classroom.

Like many institutions in the U.S.A., LCSC offers on-campus housing. When choosing to live on-campus, students have the option to live with a roommate or have their own private space. International students also have the opportunity to live with an American family through the IPO’s Homestay Program. Through the homestay program, you have the chance to learn more about American culture and you have the support and friendship that comes with being part of the family.
