Mississippi College is one of the most affordable universities in the country, with a total yearly cost of ca. $32,000 for one academic year of Undergraduate study that covers tuition, fees, room and board, insurance, books as of 2020.

100% of first-year international students receive a $4000 scholarship. The total net cost of the first-year study AFTER THE SCHOLARSHIP is ca. $ 28,000 (including tuition, fees, room & board, insurance, and books). In the following 3 years, students can also apply for a merit scholarship based on their GPA, Community services and their writing skills.

The cost of one-year Graduate studies at MC is ca. $25,000 (including tuition, fees, room and board, insurance and books).  100% International Graduate students receive a $3000 scholarship every year so long as they keep their GPA at 3.0.

Intensive English Program (IEP)

Mississippi College’s Intensive English Program (IEP) is committed to providing our students with the skills necessary to thrive in their academic studies, the university culture, and the wider community.

MC offers IEP admissions for students who DO NOT have a TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/Duolingo score or students who do not meet our English language requirement.  These students will be given a placement test upon arrival that will determine their English level.

We try to offer three levels of English study in the core ESL curriculum, including: Reading/Vocabulary, Listening/Speaking, and Grammar/Writing.  Each level of IEP lasts one semester (2 sessions). The intent of the program is that all three levels can be completed in one academic year. Once these students pass the exit exams in IEP, they can directly apply to the university academic degree programs without taking IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/Duolingo again.

Home Away from Home

MC seeks to promote the development of its students by encouraging them to utilize their talents and abilities as they study at MC.   MC offers over 70 campus organizations, a variety of intramural sports, and a number of musical and athletic programs that allow students to find friends and fellowship.

Importantly, Mississippi College has a diverse international student population.  Currently, MC hosts ca. 150 international students from 40 plus countries, all of whom have come to call Mississippi home.  To help new students find friends and acclimate to life in America, MC established the International Student Association to welcome and help new students.  Membership in these organizations is open to anyone, regardless of race or nationality.  Furthermore, the Office of Global Education at MC offers international students conversation partners, writing partners, mentors, host families (adopt-a-student), a celebration of cultural events, international festivals, etc. to enrich our international students’ lives in the United States.

MC’s location also offers excitement off-campus. Mississippi College is located in the southern part of the United States in Clinton, MS — a very safe and charming community of approximately 30,000 residents, near the state capitol of Jackson.  Clinton has twice been named one of Mississippi’s most livable cities.  Unlike some of the college towns finding themselves in the middle of nowhere, Mississippi College students have access to a myriad convenience a metropolis (i.e., the state capital) can offer.  And yet, MC students can “retreat” to their college town (i.e., Clinton) to focus on their studies in a mere 20-minute car ride.  Best of both worlds!

The Mississippi College (MC) Difference

Mississippi College combines ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE with AFFORDABILITY, making it the IDEAL UNIVERSITY to pursue your studies abroad.  Four (4) Mississippi governors can attest to Mississippi College’s excellence as they all received their degrees from MC.  Why don’t you check out MC to see if this is your best-fit university?
