Campus Life

Moorpark College (MC) is one of the most beautiful community colleges in California. The campus is located at the eastern edge of the city of Moorpark. Set on 150 beautiful acres midway between the cities of Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, Moorpark College enjoys sunny mountain views and afternoon ocean breezes.  It includes state-of-the-art academic classrooms, a football stadium, track, other athletic facilities, America’s Teaching Zoo – California’s only zoo training program, an observatory, and a performing arts theater. Moorpark College is one of the three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District and part of the California Community College system of 113 community colleges. MC offers two semesters throughout the year (Fall and Spring) in addition to summer sessions (May through August). Core values of “students first and kindness first” guide Moorpark College as we welcome and support all students on their learning journey.

International Students Program

Our international students come from over 30 countries and choose Moorpark College as their “home” away from home. Moorpark College is the start of international students’ exciting academic journey with the full support of the Moorpark College President, faculty, staff, and students. When attending Moorpark College, international students have the choice of pursuing an Associate Degree in over 50 majors, completing major requirements to transfer to a 4-year university, or achieving both: graduation and transfer.

With a solid academic foundation and low tuition cost, our international students successfully transfer to top universities such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, Harvard, MIT. California Lutheran and other local and out-of-state universities. Our goal is to assist our international students to achieve their academic goals and train them to become ambassadors of the world when they leave our institution.

To help international students adjust and acclimate to the environment, Moorpark College offers support through orientations, workshop sessions, international students club, meetings with the President and staff, and activities beyond the college.
