Reedley College is located in Reedley, California on the Kings River at the foot of the Sierra Mountains on a beautiful park-like campus 30 minutes southeast of Fresno. The campus community enjoys the unique combination of urban sophistication and rural values.

Strong Academics and Support

Students can choose from more than 125 academic or career technical educational programs and may work to complete a certificate or an associate degree with a guarantee transfer to many 4-year institutions.  Reedley College provides day and evening classes. Our school is operated on an 18-week semester system, the college offers a fall and spring term, as well as four-, six-, eight- and 10-week summer sessions. Reedley College is part of the SCCCD district which offers an opportunity to also take courses at Fresno City Community College.

The Forestry Program is recognized by the Society of American Foresters (SAF) and allows students to manage an 800-acre school forestry laboratory at YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake near Sequoia National Park, and has a unique five-month internship. Areas of emphasis include; forest recreation, wildland fire management, wildlife management, and timber management.

Mechanized Agriculture Program is accredited through the Association of Equipment Distributers. Students work on the campus 300-acre farm adjacent to the Kings River, our farm is the largest in the California Community College system. We offer both an A.S. degree in Mechanized Agriculture (2-year program) and Certificate of Achievement in Mechanized Agriculture (1-year program).

Animal Science Program provides practical studies and training in areas of livestock science within the 300-acre farm. The program deals with the application of various management and production factors. It prepares students for work in animal nutrition, reproduction, health, marketing, meats and other areas within the livestock industry. This school farm facilitates various “hands-on” laboratory activities for our animal science courses and serves as a host site for a wide range of campus activities and industry events. You can prepare yourself for a career in veterinary medicine, livestock breeding and sales.

The Aviation Maintenance Program has a 22,000 sq. ft. hanger allowing for hands-on training. Reedley College is an FAA-approved school and has offered Aviation Maintenance Technician courses for more than 50 years. Students can earn an Associate in Science degree or a Certificate. Graduates of our program are prepared to take the FAA exams required for certification. As an added feature, the federally regulated oral, practical and written exams may be taken on-site at Reedley College. At Reedley College, you can train to become an AMT and earn your FAA A&P mechanic rating. With this rating, you are authorized to work on the airframe; which includes the wings, fuselage, tail assembly, and landing gear. You can work on the Powerplant; both piston and turbine types including the propeller. You can also work on the aircraft systems; such as electrical, hydraulic,  and pneumatic.

LVN Program is accredited through the California Department of Public Health. It is an intense 3 semester’s program to prepare students in become eligible to take the LVN licensing test. The student will learn theory and the hands-on skills needed to work in the health care field. Reedley College also offers the LVN to RN Associate Degree Nursing Program at the Madera Center which is a California Board of Registered Nursing approved program.

Dental assistance Program is offered mid-August and end in mid-May of the following year. Students can be finished as quick as nine months with a Certificate of Achievement and are approved by the Dental Board of California. Courses cover bio-dental sciences, dental specialties, radiology, pit and fissure sealants, and coronal polishing. The combination of laboratory, lectures, and clinic hours prepare students to take the state licensing examination and become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). We offer both an A.S. and Certificate of Achievement in Dental Assisting.

Reedley College is one of only 11 community colleges in California to provide on-campus residential housing.

Students Athletics

Reedley College athletic teams are nationally recognized. The college has intercollegiate teams in football, baseball, softball, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s equestrian.
