University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is a public graduate research institution that is nationally ranked with over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs of study. UNC offers a wide variety of programs and services to its students while maintaining smaller class sizes to facilitate student achievement. Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, students enjoy all the benefits of a major university and the warm college atmosphere of a traditional American town.
UNC’s Intensive English Program sets you up for success and is recognized as a highly ranked and longstanding language training program, fully accredited by the CEA. It fuses cross-cultural immersion with focused English instruction to create a distinctive college preparatory experience. Our experienced, student-focused faculty instructors are all multilingual and have M.A.’s in TEFL/TESL and Applied Linguistics and related fields. Students will find themselves in an intimate, friendly and supportive environment. UNC offers five levels of classes to intermediate and advanced students in eight-week sessions. We offer Conditional Admission. TOEFL or IELTS are not required after completion.

English conversation groups are opportunities to practice English in a variety of topics. Specific vocabulary building and speaking confidence are emphasized.
