Intensive English Program

We accept students at all language levels from beginner to advance. Students interested in a degree program at Valencia who need to improve their English can start with the Intensive English Program and then transfer into a Valencia degree program. This program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) which is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accrediting agency for English Language Programs and institutions in the U.S.

How to Apply

Valencia College accepts new degree-seeking students each semester—fall, spring and summer. International students are encouraged to submit their online application as soon as possible in order to complete all application requirements by the desired admission date.

Scholarship

Valencia College offers scholarships exclusively for international students. There are three Global Achievers Awards – one for new freshman international students, one for transfer international students, and one for students who started in the Valencia College Intensive English program.The award amounts range from $500 to $2,500 USD and are based on merit achievement. The awards are nonrenewable and applied to the first term tuition. For details please go to our international students webpage and search for scholarships.

Eligibility

  • Must submit a Valencia College application for admission and all required application materials as stated on the international student webpage
  • Submit the scholarship application on the Valencia College international student webpage including two essay questions
  • Plans to enroll as an F-1 visa international student
  • Submits materials by the deadline established
  • Must take full time courses equivalent to at least 12 credit hours in the first semester.
