Idaho’s colleges and universities offer state of the art engineering and environmental science courses, quality business and computer science degrees, as well as English as a Second Language and intensive English programs. Students in Idaho have the opportunities to study in STEM fields and participate in cutting edge research. Several years ago, Idaho State Board of Education approved the P-20 Statewide STEM Strategic Plan which encourages STEM participation across the state. Our institutions are committed to providing excellent educational experiences in a variety of subject areas, and focus on building and maintaining an educated and skilled workforce.

International students studying in Idaho will have the opportunity to excel because of our unique STEM programs offered at Idaho State University, University of Idaho and Boise State University as well as excellent Business and Management programs offered at many of our outstanding universities and colleges including Lewis and Clark State College, College of Idaho, and Northwest Nazarene University. North Idaho College offers degrees and certificates and a wide range of general education programs. Most four year universities and colleges in Idaho have Honors Colleges which offer the opportunity to study in more intensive programs, as well as Intensive English programs.

Idaho is located in the Pacific Northwest and is a land of many contrasts. From rugged, mountains to open plains and high desert, Idaho has many unique characteristics. Idaho offers unspoiled nature, Native American and Western culture and many outdoor activities including whitewater rafting, guest ranch experiences, wildlife viewing, mountain biking, golf and fishing.
