New England Law also offers skill development from day one to ensure your career success. You can begin clinics and externships as early as your second year if you’re a full-time student. In the third year, we’ll help you focus on career choices and passing the bar exam.
I will recommend New England Law to every single prospective law student I meet. I firmly believe this school affords its students opportunities they would not get at other law schools.” —Jennifer Bade ’20
Since our founding in 1908 as the only law school exclusively for women, New England Law has striven to make the legal community more inclusive. Today, you’ll find a coeducational student body that is uniquely supportive, welcoming, and diverse.
Racial minorities make up about 30 percent of our student body. A significant number of our students are first generation as well. And our many other student organizations speak to students’ diverse legal interests, backgrounds, and ambitions.
New England Law is ideally located in downtown Boston, close to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Financial District, State House, Government Center, and numerous state and federal courts, government agencies, and law firms—all frequent employers of our students and alumni.
Our central location also attracts legal influencers. Many local and national thought leaders, including eight U.S. Supreme Court justices, have lectured, taught, and met with New England Law students and professors.
When deciding on a law school and considering where a New England Law degree can take you, look no further than our graduates.
In recognition of our long history as a champion of women in the law, The Princeton Review once again named New England Law as a top law school for women in its 2022 rankings.
Over the last year a number of students from New England Law were chosen for prestigious fellowship opportunities, including the Boston Bar Association Diversity & Inclusion Summer Fellowship and Rappaport Fellowship.
